Citation Integrity™ 101 · Module 8 of 9

Can an AI system actually reach this content?

A source can be authoritative, evidenced and well-qualified — and still fail Citation Integrity™, if the systems trying to read it can’t get in.

Module 8

What Technical Accessibility checks

This Dimension checks crawlability, structured data, licensing barriers, rate limits, and whether the content can be attributed back to a stable location — whether AI systems can reliably discover, parse and attribute the information at all.

Worked examples

The same claim, two different outcomes.

Concrete cases are the fastest way to see how this Dimension behaves in practice.

Fails

A page has excellent, accurate content — but it’s rendered entirely client-side in JavaScript, has no structured data, and blocks known AI crawlers. The information is good; it’s simply unreachable.

Passes

The same content, served as crawlable HTML with structured data and no crawler blocks, at a stable URL that can be cited back to directly.

Quick check

Two questions before you move on.

Ungraded and untracked — just a comprehension nudge.

1Can strong content still fail Citation Integrity™ purely on accessibility grounds?

2Name one thing this Dimension checks besides crawlability.
