Citation Integrity™ 101 · Module 7 of 9

Does the confidence match the evidence?

Content Quality isn’t a writing-style score. It’s whether the claims are accurate, complete, specific, current, consistent — and framed with the caveats the underlying evidence actually calls for.

Module 7

What Content Quality checks

This Dimension checks accuracy-orientation, completeness, specificity, currency, internal consistency, and whether claims are appropriately qualified rather than overstated.

Worked examples

The same claim, two different outcomes.

Concrete cases are the fastest way to see how this Dimension behaves in practice.

Fails

A health article states a treatment “always works,” despite genuinely mixed clinical evidence — confident language outrunning what the evidence supports.

Passes

The same claim, framed with the qualification the evidence actually warrants — “clinical trials show benefit for most patients, though outcomes vary” — accurate to what’s actually known.

Quick check

Two questions before you move on.

Ungraded and untracked — just a comprehension nudge.

1Is confident, assertive language always a sign of high Content Quality?

2What’s being checked here that Evidence & Citations doesn’t cover?
