Organisations may pay CiteAbility™ for certification assessment and associated services. Payment does not guarantee certification.
An organisation can:
- Fail
- Be required to make improvements
- Be refused certification
- Lose certification
- Allow certification to expire
Assessment pricing
What an assessment costs
Citation Integrity™ Certified is an independent paid assessment available to qualifying organisations on Starter, Growth or Enterprise. Free-plan organisations are not eligible until they move to a qualifying paid plan. Payment covers the assessment process and never guarantees certification or any third-party AI outcome.
Assessment fees reflect the size and complexity of the organisation being assessed.

The assessment fee pays for the independent assessment process. Payment does not guarantee certification. Citation Integrity™ Certified status is awarded only when an organisation satisfies CiteAbility™'s certification requirements.
Certification does not guarantee citation, recommendation, ranking, visibility or inclusion by ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI systems or any other third-party AI platform.
Process
What the assessment includes
- Formal independent assessment

- Identification of failed requirements where applicable
- Reasonable remediation opportunity
- One reassessment within 90 days where appropriate
- Certification status for 12 months when awarded
- Permission to display the relevant CiteAbility™ certification badge
- Public certification verification
There is no separate badge licence fee.
Scope
Certification is company-specific
Certification applies only to the organisation that was assessed. If you own three companies and one is certified, the other two are not certified — each requires its own assessment.
The same applies to agency-managed client companies: each independent client company must qualify and be assessed on its own. An Agency subscription does not confer certification on clients.
Why it matters
Why this matters
Certification has little value if commercial relationships determine the result. CiteAbility™ therefore separates payment for assessment from the outcome of assessment.
Commercial importance to CiteAbility™ does not determine certification status.
Meaning
What certification means
Certification means that CiteAbility™ has assessed the organisation against the applicable Citation Integrity™ certification requirements and determined that those requirements were satisfied at the relevant assessment point.
Boundaries
What certification does NOT mean
Citation Integrity™ Certified does not guarantee:
- Citation by an AI system
- Recommendation by an AI system
- Higher AI rankings
- Inclusion in an AI-generated response
- Favourable treatment by any AI provider
- Continued certification indefinitely
CiteAbility™ is currently in prelaunch. Certification interest opens an enquiry or launch-notification form; it does not start checkout, and no payment will be taken.

Certification may require:

CiteAbility™ may withdraw certification where applicable requirements are no longer satisfied.
